BACKGROUND AND OVERVIEW
The Hancock Agricultural Investment Group (HAIG) is one of the largest institutional managers of agricultural real estate in the U.S. and the first U.S. based institutional farmland manager to offer our clients international investment options. We manage $2.1 billion of agricultural real estate (as of 12/31/13) for institutional investors, including public and corporate pension funds and corporate taxable investors. We oversee nearly 290,000 acres of prime U.S. farmland in major agricultural regions including California, the Midwest, the Mississippi Delta, the Pacific Northwest, the Southern Plains and the Southeast, 6,000 acres of farmland in New South Wales and Queensland, Australia and ~1,000 acres of farmland in Quebec, Canada.
We offer individually managed separate accounts. Agricultural investments can provide institutional investors with a number of benefits including attractive returns, excellent capital preservation, portfolio diversification and low to moderate risk.
This site provides an introduction to farmland as an investment opportunity and describes the investment capabilities of HAIG. Please contact us if you have questions about farmland investment fundamentals or if you would like to know more about us.
